6.5 Quake Rocks Southern Indonesia: United States Geological Survey

Indonesia A powerful 6.5 earthquake rocked southern Indonesia close to the island of Java late Friday night, the US Geological Survey stated.  

The tremor was measured at a depth of 91 kilometres (56 miles) and struck lower than a kilometre (mile) east-southeast of the coastal city of Cipatujah, USGS stated. There was no rapid indication of a tsunami.
