Cairo:  Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stated on Wednesday the Palestinians will “go to the United Nations Safety Council” over full UN membership after the US determined to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Abbas, who spoke at a unprecedented assembly of the Group of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, didn’t elaborate on how the Palestinians meant to grow to be a full member state.
